May 2006 Run - Snakes and Ladders
Taupo Fasttrack May 2006 Driver Training Day

Look at the cars from all over the North Island that took part. Our club had four members cars there.

The Pub was closed - Mangatainoka June 2006

14 Kapiti cars plus 5 from Palmerston North met here then on to the top of Saddle Road and the Te Apiti Windfarm. If you like a cold winter wind this is the place to go. However a short drop down to Ashhurst saw a warm bunch tuck into a hearty lunch at the Domain Cafe looking back at the windmills.

A great run especially the back rural roads behind Woodville and another great winter turnout. Some just couldn't quite manage the full distance top down.

January 2006 - Guess where

Cars by a tram on Queen II Elizabeth Park at MacKays Crossing. These trams have been restored and offer weekend rides over summer through the park. The road would be a great opportunity to try the MX5 handling but unfortunately there is a slow speed limit as the park has over 300,000 visitors a year.

February 2006 - Treasure Island Poker Run
A colourful display of cars on Julie's front yard ahead of the days outing after scones, jam and cream with the coffee. Thanks to Sharon for the photo.
March 2006 - Wanganui City Classic Car Show run
6 Cars from Kapiti travelled to Wanganui where we joined with a further 10 cars from Central Plateua, Wellington and Palmerston North.

April 2006 Wairarapa Wanderers run
9 cars met on 9 April for a run around the Wairarapa, including a tour of the Gladstone Winery in Martinborough.

July 2006 - Kapiti Explorer Run

After a fabulous run around Paraparaumu and Waikanae on a perfect winters day the 14 cars and their passengers stopped for a great lunch at Anne and Dennis's home. The views from various vantage points, during the 75km run, over the coast to Kapiti could not have been better. Top down winter motoring at its best.
